Saturday Matinee is a weekly presentation on Vintage Classic Radio featuring the great comedies, romances, and musical shows of the golden age of radio, featuring shows like The Jack Benny Program, Fibber McGee and Molly, The Abbott and Costello show, Our Miss Brooks, The Great Gildersleeve, and other beloved series from the 1930s through the 1950s.

These were the programmes that were family favourites. Half-hour comedies built on character, timing, and the warmth of the ensembles who returned week after week. Gentler than most modern comedy and with performances that shaped every laugh-track show that followed.
